Design

  • Our team of experienced design engineers work with our skilled CAD Technicians to provide highly detailed mechanical and electrical building services drawings. These can be supplied for projects at any stage of development from concept to as-built drawings including outline and detailed designs.
  • The team support these drawings with outline or detailed NBS Specifications along with equipment schedules, detailed prices or estimates as required by the project. Our experience in completing specifications enables us to provide high quality and detailed information for the installer, contract or client.
  • Our wide spectrum of mechanical design experience includes more technically advanced systems such as medical gas systems, compressed air supplies, fuel supply systems and power generation.
  • We utilise the latest software to complete heating and cooling calculations alongside energy assessments to get the most efficient building possible. We are experienced in working to BIM Level 2 and using AutoCAD Revit and with good communications skills we work closely with our clients to provide efficient and effective designs.
  • The team work to provide designs that are energy efficient and comfortable for its occupants. We align our designs with BREEAM and SAP calculations and also strive to follow the guidance of the Institute of WELL Building Standards for all our buildings.

Reporting

  • Our team are experienced in providing technical engineering advice through reports such as Feasibility Reports, Tender Appraisals or Condition Surveys. This work provides the client with a detailed and thorough investigation that is summarised into a concise document for publication.
  • Depending on the request we can highlight cost saving opportunities at the early phases of a project or show areas of Health & Safety concern that may not be immediately apparent. We have instant access to all British and European standards as well as American ASHRAE documentation so that our technical information is always up to date.
  • With our connections to specialist sectors we can provide details reporting on aspects such as noise control, fire protection and storage of hazardous materials, which have proved useful in the past for National Health Service and Ministry of Defence work.

Management

  • As a project enters its installation or construction phase we offer on-site management services that will oversee every aspect of the Mechanical and Electrical works. We can provide daily reports or attend weekly meetings as requested by the client.
  • In the Clients Representative role we can monitor progress in regards to ensuring good quality control, precise cost measurement and plotting progress against time focused programs. By using tried and trusted techniques and best practice we can ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
  • As members of the Chartered Management Institute we have access to the latest management techniques, training and guidance for all construction sectors. As members we have to annually show our Continued Professional Development and also benefit from the combined experience of a large network of managers from across the country.

Energy Assessments

  • With skilled staff trained in the production of energy saving assessments we can provide a wide variety of reports for commercial and residential properties. In some cases these reports are required through legislation and in others they are required to meet certain building standards.
  • All assessors are certified and use government led schemes to ensure buildings meet current Building Regulations as a minimum, however by working with the client or architect we go beyond this to provide guidance to support the initial calculations that will enhance the building for its occupants.
  • Our assessments are now supported by our aim to ensure best comfort and wellbeing for all the building occupants, so we align all our advice to the Institute of WELL Building standards and follow their 7 concepts for accreditation which are:
  • Air
  • Water
  • Nourishment
  • Light
  • Fitness
  • Comfort
  • Mind
  • With staff trained in the production energy saving assessments we can provide:
  • BREEAM Assessments
  • Part L Compliance
  • Code for sustainable homes
  • DEC (Display Energy Certificate)
  • EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)
  • ESOS (Energy Saving Opportunities Scheme)
  • SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure)
